01Astrea software

The Astrea desktop application and website are provided under the terms of the license that accompanies each release, or as otherwise stated on the download page. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Astrea and its licensors.

The Astrea name, logo, and other Astrea trademarks are not covered by any open-source license referenced on this page and may not be used without our prior written permission, except as necessary to accurately describe your use of the Service (for example, "built with Astrea").

02Third-party open-source software

The Service is built on open-source components. We're grateful to the maintainers and communities behind them. The principal components are listed below, grouped by where they're used, with their SPDX license identifiers.

This list covers principal, directly-used components and is not exhaustive; like most modern software, Astrea depends on a much larger tree of transitive packages. A complete, auto-generated dependency manifest is available on request (see Section 4).

03What these licenses mean, in brief

This section is a plain-language summary for convenience only and is not a substitute for the actual license text, which governs in all cases.

• MIT License. A short, permissive license. You (and we) may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, and distribute the software, provided the original copyright notice and license text are retained. The software is provided without warranty.
• Apache License 2.0. Similarly permissive, and additionally includes an express patent grant from contributors and requires that any changes to the licensed files be noted.
• PostgreSQL License. An MIT-style permissive license specific to the PostgreSQL project, allowing use, modification, and distribution with attribution and without warranty.

None of these licenses require Astrea to make its own source code available, and none of them impose obligations on you as an end user of the Service.

The full text of each license, along with a complete list of dependencies and their versions, is available on request. Write to legal@getastrea.com and we will send you the current attribution file.

If you believe an attribution on this page is missing, incorrect, or that we are using a component outside the terms of its license, please let us know at legal@getastrea.com so we can correct it promptly.
